The sports business industry, like every industry worldwide, is subject to centrally changing risk issues, megatrends and other relevant key factors. To identify such topics & trends at an early stage, the sports marketing agency ONE8Y has now founded its own initiative – the “Foresight Circle”. The aim is to shed light on general and specific areas of the sports business industry with respect to future developments by means of data-based analyses, constant screening of risk topics and cooperation with various experts and partners.

Hendrik Fischer, CEO of ONE8Y explains: “Globalization is helping us to leverage opportunities and potential faster and more comprehensively, but also to face risks and threats at the same speed. With our research and strategy expertise and the artificial intelligence-based forecasting tools from our joint venture ONEZERO X, we offer market participants all relevant components from a single source to constantly monitor such issues and take the necessary strategic decisions and measures.

ONE8Y plans to work together with various experts from industry, research and practical experience – depending on the task at hand. “Knowing where the journey is headed, what to expect in the medium and long term is crucial for all market participants. That is why we actively support our customers in applying the knowledge gained in the form of strategic concepts and the creative implementation of new approaches,” says Hendrik Fischer.

A major focus will also be on general future issues. The focus will be on gaining insights into topics such as: How will fans travel to football matches in 5 years’ time in the wake of changing mobility behaviour? Which countries will be able to host real mega sports events in 10 years? On the basis of which criteria can spectator capacities for league matches be predicted? These and many other questions need to be answered.

Some of the results on general future questions in the sports business will be made available to the entire industry free of charge. “With this initiative, we want to create real added value for our industry and are pleased to welcome everyone who wants to support us as a partner in this project”, says the agency head.
